The left pad is set to a 12 button Touch Menu for various non-essential things (quest, journal, town portal, friends, etc. XCOM 2 PC CONTROLLER CURSOR SLOW FULLInstead of putting skill 1-4 on the left pad in a d-pad layout, I set them up on the left bumper (1), left-trigger full pull (4), left grip (3) and right grip (2) (it's my Demon Hunter so I normally use right grip to jump, so it felt right to have my dodge there, and my arrow spray (4) felt right as a full extension of the arrow swarm (right click) skill. So I then re-thought the whole layout I had before. But the concept was solid and I hoped they only removed it to prep for the early release and keep working on it in the background until it was ready. Looks like this is what "Stick Mouse" became back pre-October release, it was buggy as all hell and they removed it late September. Set it on the stick, set the region pretty small, and you've got a small area around your character that the mouse can move, so when holding left-click you've effectively got analog movement by moving the stick around. XCOM 2 PC CONTROLLER CURSOR SLOW UPDATEThe latest beta update added "Mouse Region" (new controller firmware too) where you can confine the mouse to an area of the screen. My new binds for Diablo 3 feel really good! Going to have to see about applying them to Torchlight/2. But yeah it should be able to just plug into the Link and work just like it does on a computer. The adapter for the keyboard isn't Bluetooth, it's Logitech's own wireless protocol they use for most of their wireless products. some crazy ass has been playing Typing of The Dead with it so what do I know? It's definitely slower/clunkier than using a physical keyboard, but then again. I had gotten it before I got my Steam Controller, now I only bother reaching for it when I need to type more than a Google search worth of text, otherwise I just use the Steam Controller and it's on-screen keyboard (you can minimize BPM now (beta channel, naturally), to still have access to the OSK on the desktop). I'm actually using that exact keyboard/trackpad for the HTPC. But that does then take up one of the 3 USB ports if you need other controllers/peripherals plugged in as well. The other option, of course, is to move the dongle from PC to the Link and not worry about pairing and cycling pairs. That lets you cycle through paired devices. Then you can change between syncing to the Link and back to the dongle on your PC by pressing and holding A while the controller is off, then while holding A turn the controller on. It will even act like an Xbox or Playstation controller on their own systems, able to turn the Steam Link on when you hit the Steam button on the controller. It should sync up to the Link/BPM from there. Press and hold X on the Steam Controller, then while holding X turn it on, that puts it into pairing mode. Turn you Steam Controller off, tell BPM (or Link) to add a controller and it will go into searching mode, looking for a wireless connection. There must be a way in the Steam Link settings similar to Big Picture Mode's controller add/test screen. ![]() XCOM 2 PC CONTROLLER CURSOR SLOW HOW TOIt works without the dongle, though how to pair it to the Steam Link if you've already paired it to a dongle, I don't know. ![]() For some godforsaken reason they decided not to include the $1.50 wireless dongle as a part of the Link proper. Should the steam controller work w/ the steam link w/o using the dongle? i can't seem to get mine to connect properly w/o using the dongle. XCOM 2 PC CONTROLLER CURSOR SLOW BLUETOOTHI'm not super familiar with Bluetooth peripherals-is that only required when there's no Bluetooth hardware in the PC or whatever (in this case, I know there's such hardware in the Link, so no adapter needed)? It mentions an adapter (I presume you'd plug it into a USB port). Would something like this Logitech work?. The only thing I worry about is compatibility with the Link and its software. On the other OTHER hand, a physical keyboard sure seems like it would be nicer to type or hit keys on. On the other hand, I'm hoping Valve will support it, and if a good wireless keyboard with trackpad is going to cost anywhere near 50 bucks then I might as well buy it. The Steam Controller (if you have one) should now stay in desktop/keyboard & mouse mode until the game is loaded, so you can click through launchers, but any other controller won't, unfortunately, so you'll need either a keyboard & mouse or get a small wireless keyboard with a trackpad on it that you can use when needed. Yeah launchers will still need mouse & keyboard to get past them.
